Hey y’all – I’m so glad you decided to check out the exciting news! I took to Instagram a few weeks ago and opened it up for you guys to ask me anything. I thought it’d be fun to answer those questions so you can get to know me a little better. Keep scrolling to find out some fun facts about me & if you have any more questions feel free to ask!

 What do you do for a living?

I am a Labor & Delivery nurse and could not LOVE my job more! I graduated UNC Charlotte in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a nurse, specifically Labor & Delivery. I am a follower of Jesus and believe that I have truly been called to be a servant of the Lord. It is my passion to care for and serve others, especially sweet babies and their mamas!

How did you and your husband meet?

Eli and I met in middle school but things didn’t get serious until high school! I knew the moment I talked to him in middle school art class that there was something about him. After a long-awaited three years, we finally started dating our junior year of high school, which was the best timing! We were able to create such a special friendship and really get to know each other before we took that next step of dating. Eli and I both went to UNC Charlotte which made dating through college a little easier – I mean, it still came with its challenges, as that is such a huge transition! We never left each other’s side, and we truly are each other’s biggest supporters. Growing and being able to go through major life experiences together only made our love for each other stronger – we dated 7 years before Eli popped the question in December 2017 & we finally tied the knot November 24, 2018!

Cats or Dogs?

Cats 100% – however, I am slowly becoming more of a dog person because Eli loves dogs! We’ve made a deal that once we decide to get pets we will get one dog and one cat at the same time!

What led you to photography?

I was gifted my first digital camera in 5^th grade, you know, to play with and take pictures of anything and everything. However, my passion for photography really began in high school when I enrolled into a film photography class which was all manual. I learned so much about the camera, lighting, framing, and so much more.  Being able to develop our own film & print our own photos in a dark room made me appreciate the art of photography so much more!

Where is your dream vacation?

Santorini, Greece – or anywhere in Greece really! I’ve traveled to many places, but Greece is definitely at the top of my bucket list – if you’ve been let’s chat!

Favorite food/snack?

My all-time favorite food is Mexican! I mean you can’t go wrong with bottomless chips and salsa, queso, & a Grande burrito, right?! Fun fact: My birthday falls on national margarita day, so you really can’t go wrong with Mexican food! Now, my favorite snack is popcorn – any day, any time you can find me snacking on popcorn. My favorite is pop-secret Home-style, sprinkled with white cheddar cheese!

Named after anyone?

Funny story – my parents thought I was going to be a boy so they were going to name me Bryan because that is my dad’s middle name. Surprise – I was a girl! My first name, Laura, my mom just liked and at the time wasn’t too common of a name. My middle name, Covington, is a family name carried throughout my dad’s side. I actually decided to keep the name Covington when I got married. It is so unique, meaningful, & I’ve never met anyone with the same middle name!
