Here, I’m pulling back the veil on some of my favorite sessions so you can get an inside look into what the Laura Greear Photography experience is all about. From weddings and engagement sessions to portrait shoots and plenty more, binge the blog to learn more about my process, my incredible clients, and what to expect when we work together!
This past week I was in Savannah, Georgia for the GOOD TO GOLD workshop hosted by Cheyenne Schultz. I had always picked Cheyenne’s brain through DM’s or emails and she was the sweetest to respond and genuinely want to help me as my business began to grow. I took her “Client Experience” course in 2021 and learned so much. So, when she announced she was hosting a workshop for photographers I knew I had to go! I am very glad I decided to step out of my comfort zone and sign up to attend.
The workshop kicked off Monday evening with the cutest welcome gifts, savory charcuterie, and delicious cocktails. We took a group outing once everyone arrived to the very popular ice cream shop – Leopold’s. (No really, the line was around the block!). When it comes to ice cream, I am a plain jane and ordered a mini vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles.
Tuesday and Wednesday were packed full of education. Cheyenne taught us everything from finding your purpose, how to provide an impactful client experience, to getting over the fear of imposter syndrome (we all know we’ve been there!). I took almost 7 pages of notes! It was important to me to truly soak up everything she was teaching and dreaming of ways I can implement it all into my business.
When it came to the styled shoots, first, I was BLOWN AWAY by all the very talented vendors involved. The creativeness and attention to detail made me so giddy. Second, I have always been a visual/hands on learner. I enjoyed watching Cheyenne in action as she explained how she would photograph certain aspects of a wedding day. She was so attentive to all of our questions, and was intentional about spending one-on-one time with each of us.
One of my favorite parts from this workshop was the community that was created with all the other amazing photographers. It was so great to be surrounded by people who were in a similar boat as me when it comes to running a business. Let’s just say, I know I have a whole group of boss babes who will hype me up, encourage me, and support me as LGP continues to grow. I can’t wait to do the same for these amazing ladies!
I truly have no words for how eye opening this past week was and so grateful to Cheyenne, Erika, Chelsea, and all the other vendors who were apart of this workshop!
Now to the best part – THE STUNNING IMAGES – Enjoy!
